Basketball in Houston
Houston is one of the deepest youth basketball markets in the country. Between the public school districts, the private and charter circuit and a crowded club scene, a Houston player can compete almost every weekend of the year — and still go unseen, because there is so much of it.
The Top25Scouts Houston chapter exists to close that gap. Our Houston basketball camps put local players from Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, Pearland, The Woodlands and every corner of Greater Houston in front of a scout who lives in this market, in a setting built for development first: skill work, live competition, and an honest evaluation you can carry with you.
Camps are held inside the Houston metro so families are not spending a Saturday on I-45 to get seen. Every player who attends builds a Hoop Verified profile — verified name, grade, measurements and film — that travels with them to the next level of the Top25Scouts pathway.

AK Kurji is Director of Marketing at T3TV and a member of the T3TV board, and serves as the Top25Scouts city scout for Houston, Texas.
As the Houston city scout, he leads the Top25Scouts Houston chapter: reviewing player applications from across Greater Houston, planning the city camp schedule, and identifying local players for evaluation at Top25Scouts events.

Age groups and camp format
Top25Scouts Houston basketball camps are open to boys and girls in grades 3 through 12. Players are grouped by grade band and by skill, not just by age, so a younger guard is not lost in a session built for high school wings.
A typical city camp day runs skill stations, position-specific work and live games, with scouts watching every session. One-day clinics, two-day city camps and seasonal camps — holiday, winter, spring break and summer — all run under the same format.
Exact divisions for each camp are confirmed when the date and venue are announced.

Boys and girls in grades 3 through 12 who live in or near the Houston metro. Players are grouped by grade band and skill level, so you do not need to already play club basketball to apply.

Does attending get my child ranked?
No. Applications, attendance and package purchases do not guarantee a ranking, nomination or invitation. A city camp is where a local scout sees your player and a verified profile gets built.
What is a Hoop Verified profile?
A verified player profile — confirmed name, grade, measurements and film — created through Top25Scouts. It is what scouts read before, during and after an event, and it stays with the player as they move through the pathway.
What comes after a Houston city camp?
Players who stand out may be recommended for a Road to Top25 All-American Camp, a Top25Scouts Pro Exposure Series event or the National Combine. Recommendation is a scouting decision, never a purchase.
