Nasere “Nas” Brown is a 2031 guard out of Mott Haven in the Bronx, currently entering his second year with Capital Prep Harlem. He also serves as captain of Castle Athletics 2031, a program he has been part of since the age of eight. Brown brings an active style of play, with his speed and defensive effort standing out as consistent parts of his game.

Defensively, Brown uses his quickness to pressure ball handlers, jump passing lanes, and create steals. He also shows good awareness as a facilitator, reading the floor and finding teammates in scoring positions. Offensively, his scoring ability has continued to improve. He’s become more comfortable knocking down corner threes while also using his speed to attack the basket and finish around the rim. That added scoring threat gives him another way to impact the game beyond his playmaking.

Brown and Castle Athletics have put together a productive stretch on the summer circuit, winning multiple championships, including on the PUMA NXTPRO circuit and at Hoops in the Sun. The team also collected titles at A Games, Hoop Group, Positive Influence, Big Time in 2025 and 2026, and Hoop Haven.

Moving forward, continued consistency as a perimeter shooter and further development with the ball will be important areas for Brown. His defensive activity, speed, and ability to create opportunities for teammates give him a solid foundation as he continues to develop in the 2031 class.
